7. Alerts and Reminders
7.1 Viewing, Snoozing, and Clearing Alerts or Reminders
If there is an alert or reminder, the alert icon appears on the Home Screen. To view, snooze and clear the alert or reminder:

Press Menu, and then press
until display shows ALRT.

Press Select to display the alert(s) currently in effect.

The word SNZE (SNOOZE) appears.

Press Select again to snooze the reminder for 7 days.

To clear the alert, press Select, and then press + until the display shows CLER (Clear).

Press Select to clear the reminder.
Note: Some alerts cannot be snoozed or cleared. If this occurs, call your local heating and cooling professional; the heating/cooling system may require service.

Code 164 indicates L terminal is energized at equipment. This is the heat pump telling the thermostat that there is a problem with the heat pump. |

Code 170 indicates Memory failure. Replace the thermostat. |

171 |
Code 171 is a reminder to Set the Date/Time. |
|
173 |
Code 173 is an alert to replace thermostat due to an internal sensor failure. |

177 |
Code 177 indicates an invalid reading on wired indoor sensor. Check indoor sensor and sensor wires. Verify settings match sensor used (10K or 20K). ISU settings 500 and 516 for wired indoor sensor. Not available on TH6210U. |

Code 178 indicates invalid reading on wired outdoor sensor. Check outdoor sensor and sensor wires. ISU #130 is for wired outdoor sensor. Not available on TH6210U. |

181 |
Code 181 is replace filter 1 reminder. Replace the furnace filter and dismiss alert on thermostat to reset the timer. The reminder is set with ISU #711 which is set for fan run time or calendar days by the installer. |

Code 182 is replace filter 2 reminder. Replace the furnace filter and dismiss alert on thermostat. This reminder is set with ISU #712 which is set for fan run time or calendar days by the installer. |

Code 405 is the "Low Battery" alert to replace the AA batteries. The display also indicates "BATT" on the home screen for this message. See 7.2 Low Battery Alert below. |

Code: 164

Code 182 is the Replace Filter 2 reminder. Replace the furnace filter and dismiss alert on thermostat. This reminder is set with ISU #712, which is set by the installer for fan run time or calendar days.
Code: 405

7.2 Low Battery Alerts
The batteries must be replaced when BATT, the alert icon, and the battery icon are displayed on the Home screen.

When battery power is low, the thermostat’s backlight is disabled to save battery power. (See Code 405 above.)

When battery power is critically low, only BATT, the alert icon, and the battery icon are displayed. (See Code 407 above.)
